technically and selectionwise on point so it was really a tough job to

Like last year we are hosting again a DJ Newcomer contest! This is YOUR chance to perform in front of the sophisticated SUNANDBASS crowd at one the official locations during the week. Upload your mix to mixcloud.com and enter the competition to be one of six DJs to play at the final during the week of
SUNANDBASS. The 2009 jury included D&B greats as Bailey and A-Sides, so come well prepared to convince the jury and get your hands on some fantastic prizes!
The rules are easy:
- Upload your mix (60 mins maximum length) until 8th August 2010 to http://www.mixcloud.com
- Not limited to D&B - all genres welcome!
- We will listen carefully to all mixes and pick our Top 6 to be granted the chance to take part at the contest on Sardinia - Winners will be announced on 22 August 2010.
- Please note that contestants must be SUNANDBASS ticket holders! We are only offering a stage to be a performer at our famous D&B festival and will not cover travel & accommodation .

Hello everybody,
Let us start off with thanking all of you for a fantastic SUNANDBASS 2009!
At the various outstanding locations D&B heads from all over the world again witnessed amazing music highlights with appearances by some of the biggest names as well as promising newcomers. One of those very rare and magical moments was during Metalheadz session intro tune "Pulp Fiction" from back in the days, when the whole club was humming along the bassline. Goosebumps...
Besides D&Bs legends we also opened the stage for some newcomers. During a contest at our pool location
Bal Harbour a number of DJs got the chance to prove themselves in front of the crowd and an expert jury.
A first class program throughout the whole week made the 6th edition of SUNANDBASS another one to remember!
Thanks for sharing all your videos and photos in the social media cosmos. Watch this space for some audio & high-quality video footage that will once more bring back the sentiments of a perfect summer in a perfect surrounding!
With all the energy and inspiration you gave us last year we are of course already working on the 2010 event!
We are thrilled to announce today the official date for the event is 4 to 11 September 2010. We will keep you updated on further planning and info on when the ticket sales will start later this year. More than 40 quality sets were handed in within just a couple of days so we have spent quite a lot of time listening very closely... After a very tough selection process we have finally come to a decision!
We hereby announce the following DJs to be finalists
for our DJ competition at Bal Harbour:

Ever wanted to play at SUNANDBASS? This is your chance to win a spot at the first edition of SUNANDBASS DJ competition! Show us your skills and send in your best mix - no limits to genres! The best six DJs will get the chance to perform in front of an international crowd at the finals at our exclusive open air location Bal Harbour! During the pool party on Friday 11th September a jury including renowned artists as Bailey and DJ A-Sides will award the official winner of the first SUNANDBASS DJ competition who will walk away with a brand new Rane SL 3 for Scratch Live!
How to participate at the competition:
1. Record a 60-minute long mix. Not limited to D&B - all genres welcome!
2. Upload your mix to to mixcloud.com (see instructions below)
3. Six DJs will be announced as finalists for the competiton during SUNANDBASS 2009
4. Bring your record bag for the final showdown at Bal Harbour pool party on Friday 11th September!
Please note that mixes are accepted until 28 August 2009 only!

It’s been a while since you last heard from us. So let’s start off with wishing you all the best for 2009! SUNANDBASS is entering it’s 6th year since everything started back in 2004 and we can proudly look back at 5 mind-blowing editions of our fantastic Drum&Bass holidays on beautiful Sardinia.
Once again we would like to thank all of you for making this the special happening it is eversince the first time we got together in San Teodoro! We’re looking very much forward to a lot more of these special moments in the future.
